Wildflowers, wildflowers, and more wildflowers, the beauty is unsurpassed.
A visual treat that will last through Summer 2005, due to generous showers
throughout the 178 corridor. The variety of beautiful and rare flowers
brings a sense of serenity, and plays to all of your senses, ranging
from vibrant color, to delicate scents.
A must see right now is Wild Rose Canyon; there are many rare types
of wildflowers, one of which is the Panamint Daisy. Other types of flowers
you may spot there are Prince's Plume, Bigelow's Monkeyflower, Calthaleaf
Phacelia, and much more. North of Trona on the 178 corridor and up into
Panamint Valley many types of buckwheat are in bloom. The view of blanketed
dandelions and other sunflowers puts a smile to even the gloomiest of
corridor seekers.
